We do our own plant / process / product design. We have an R& D department and Engineering department totaling about 30 qualified engineers and 8 chemists. We have centralized production planning and management systems and a Technical Management Committee who coordinate on all technical matters and provide the technical expertise.The following is a general outline of our future plans, and we like to share this information with you so that you have an idea of our intentions and the potential that can be developed if we worked together for mutual benefit in relation to the supply of Activated Carbon. We currently market 15,000 Tons per year of Coconut Shell Based Activated Carbon (about 15% of the total world requirement of Coconut Shell Activated Carbon) worldwide which is produced at our plants in Sri Lanka and Thailand and due to the increased demand for our products we have planned to increase our production of Activated Carbon to 30,000 Tons per year within the next two years. We have selected several new production locations in Indonesia and the Philippines for this purpose and the first such location where we have already begun operations is in Bitung, North Sulawesi by taking over P T Mapalus Makawanua Charcoal Industry. Our intention is to make this our 3rd production location and we are looking to develop long term relationships with current and potential users of Activated Carbon in Indonesia in order to cater the local market in Indonesia as well as the export market. We are committed to the development of this production facility to be the most successful in our group and also in the world. We are confident of our ability to make this a reality and would like to discuss with you on the possibility of developing a long term relationship for the sale of Activated Carbon. Our current capacity of Activated Carbon in the facility in Bitung North Sulawesi is 2,400MT per annum and our plan is to increase its capacity to 4,200 MT per annum from September this year in order to cater the increasing demand of the local and export markets.
