The main objective was to unite all batik co-operatives and to improve the welfare of co-operatives' members.GKBI is owned by 40 primary batik co-operatives which are located nationwide in Indonesia, consisting of 8,000 batik entrepreneurs.Since established, for more than 57 years now, GKBI is the only co-operatives whose main activities is still in textile industries. The activities cover all processes of textiles from spinning and weaving - producing yarn, grey, cambric, printing cloth, dryer fabrics, garments and batik.This time, together with State Minister for Cooperatives & SME of the Republic of Indonesia and PT. Sarinah (Persero), as to utilize the latest technology to provide efficiency and convenience through internet, by enabling worldwide buyers to browse and directly purchase Indonesia SME (Small & Medium Enterprises) products and services online in realtime...
