Our Parent Company, Haycarb Limited was the first activated carbon manufacturer in any coconut producing country and was incorporated in 1973. To meet customer demand our capacity has been progressively increased from 700 tons per annum to 17, 000 tons per annum at 4 production centers, 2 in Sri Lanka, 1 in Indonesia and 1 in Thailand, with a sales turnover of over US dollar 25 million per year. Haycarb Group accounts for 20 percent of the world Coconut Shell Activated Carbon market and is the largest manufacturer having an established marketing and distribution network comprising of sole distributors and its own marketing offices. Haycarb is the premium supplier of coconut based activated carbons with total technical and service backup capabilities. We operate in all major markets of the world, and have our own marketing companies in the USA, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia and Thailand. Quality is the foundation on which Haycarb has grown and continues to grow. ISO 9000 accreditation and ongoing Continuous Improvement programs further reinforce our commitment to quality and expedient customer service. The product range consists of standard, washed and impregnated carbons available in granules, pellets as well as in powdered form. The major applications are, Recovery of gold from ore, Solvent Recovery, Safety masks and respirators, Air purification, Wastewater treatment, Potable water purification, Brewery industry, Cigarette filters, Catalyst and Catalyst support. It is possible that 10 to 20 alternative grades are used in the same field of application. Haycarb Group consists of 150 executives, most engineers and chemists. We do our own plant, process, product design. We have an R& D department and Engineering department totaling about 30 qualified engineers and 8 chemists. We have centralized production planning and management systems and a Technical Management Committee who coordinate on all technical matters and provide the technical expertise. We also are in a position to provide the technical know how for optimizing performance of your process.
