The main objective was to unite all batik co-operatives and to improve the welfare of co-operatives' members.GKBI is owned by 40 primary batik co-operatives which are located nationwide in Indonesia, consisting of 8,000 batik entrepreneurs.Since established, for more than 57 years now, GKBI is the only co-operatives whose main activities is still in textile industries. The activities cover all processes of textiles from spinning and weaving - producing yarn, grey, cambric, printing cloth, dryer fabrics, garments and batik.This time, together with State Minister for Cooperatives & SME of the Republic of Indonesia and PT.
